Welcoming Yule and the Midwinter Solstice

At Winter Solstice we experience the shortest day and longest night of the year.

At this ethereal moment, time itself seems to stand still — suspended in reverie — as we witness our beloved Sun retrace the same low, narrow arc three times before beginning its gradual ascent.

In time, Yule and the rebirth of the Sun at Midwinter became associated with the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God, in the Christian tradition.

But Yuletide is first and foremost a celebration of the Sun’s rebirth and its significance comes from the observance of the planetary patterns of movement of which every living thing on earth is subject to and reliant upon regardless of religious affiliation or spiritual adherence.

May we each do what we can to reconnect ourselves to the harmonious rhythms of the natural world of which we are each mutually an integral part.

Hi! I’m Tamber — Founder of Hūmus Collective

I'm a wife, mystic, and mother to three beautiful humans. With mama-crab Cancer rising, and beauty-and-pleasure-obsessed Venus in the fourth house of my astrological birth chart — the beauty of home and family looms LARGE in my life. As such, I adore all things hearth and home, motherhood, womanhood, female well-being and reproductive health, childbirth, child rearing, harmonious family relationships, ancestral healing, and the roots of nature-based spirituality.

Humus Collective was born out of my soul's desire to deeply support and nourish mothers through the cycles and seasons of motherhood. ALL OF YOU is welcome here! ♡
