it’s said that motherhood is the quickest (and steepest!) path to enlightenment; ‘enlightenment’, of course, simply being a fancy way of describing the ability to respond appropriately to the ever-changing moments of life — that pretty much sums up the breath-taking agility of all mothers juggling the taxing demands of modern everyday life while tending to the highly unpredictable needs of a child . . .
. . . said another way, the demands of modern motherhood provide the greatest opportunity to achieve the psycho-spiritual-maturity required to learn how to enjoy & stay present to the continuous unfolding of the present moment . . .
